“I have walked on these feet for 74 years, and for the past 45 years, have walked 4 miles almost every day. My pain is gone!

Amy helped me find the right kind of athletic shoes, everyday clogs, and everyday slip ons, for my particular issue, which was the need for more arch support and more cushioning in the heel. She spent a lot of time with me, first taking a “blueprint” on a machine which mapped my problem areas, then determining which brand of shoes could best offer what I needed, while also being mindful of what styles I liked. But in addition to knowing her stock and which shoes might help my problem, she listened to what my life was like, how I spend my time, how much time I am on my feet, etc., and that helped her assess what shoe would work best for me. She also let me walk around in the shoes and take my time, so I could actually feel which seemed to help the most. And through all of this encounter, Amy was so patient and personable! I think she’s THE BEST, combining knowledge and customer service with a patient and friendly attitude. Hawley Lane is #1 in my book, with a wide selection of good quality shoes, and a staff to match — EVERYONE there is friendly! I’ve brought my granddaughters, my husband is next, and I’ve just made another visit to buy summer sandals!

“I was seen every 3 months or so by my podiatrist who would file down calluses on the middle of the ball of both feet. This went on for about 3 years. Because the calluses were deep, the doctor suggested surgery instead of the periodic filing. I opted not to since filing was working. Carol suggested Aetrex orthotics which I bought. After a very short time, 2 months or so, the calluses were COMPLETELY gone and I no longer needed to have even the filing done. Today, about 5 years later, I remain an Aetrex user and callus free.”
